Add this to your lexicon…

Thank you Bitch, PhD for wowing me with your brilliance once again (and for the wonderful post about passing the bar) by introducing into our slang the replacement of the proverbial “balls” with “skirt.”

As in: “Does he/she have the skirt for that?”

or “Wow, that sure took some skirt to pull that off!”

Sadly, according to “UrbanDictionary.com” the most popular definition for “skirt” is a “simple garment worn by females that is easily removed.” Yes, that one ranks a whopping 176 thumbs-up votes. So then, another way to think of this is as yet another word to “reclaim” (and, forgive me if I don’t sound particularly radical enough in saying this, but I bet this has a wee bit better chance of catching on that previous attempts at “reclaiming” bitch or cunt, for example). I think it has real power to become a popular bit of EgalitarianSlang. After all, I’d much rather think about a nice grey A-line (see photo) than, well, balls.

This is way better than PeeWee’s scary word of the day that resulted in lots of screaming and frantic running around. I think I’ll start using it right away , and try to use it as often as possible. You should too, you just might end up on that “Overheard in…” blog.

Also, I would like to point out that this is way better than TruckNutz.
